The new Ambassador of China pays a courtesy call on the Speaker

The new Ambassador of the People’s Republic of China to the Maldives, Mr. H. E. Mr. Zhang Lizhong has paid a courtesy call on the Speaker of the People’s Majlis, Hon. Mr.  Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed, this morning at the House of the People’s Majlis.
During the meeting, Hon. Abdulla Maseeh Mohamed, Speaker of the People’s Majlis, emphasized the excellent bilateral relations between the Maldives and China and expressed his sincere gratitude for the generous contribution and support extended by the Government and the people of China for the development of the Maldives.
Speaking at the meeting, the Ambassador reiterated that China would continue to support and assist the Maldives in its development efforts. He also assured his commitment to further strengthen the relations between the two countries during his tenure as Ambassador.
Secretary General Mr. Ahmed Mohamed, Deputy Secretary General Ms. Fathimath Niusha and Assistant Secretary General Mr. Abdul Hameed Zakariyya of the People’s Majlis accompanied the Speaker at the meeting. H. E. Mr. Zhang Lizhong was accompanied by Mr. Zhao Xiangbo, Head of the Political Section of the Embassy.
