People’s Majlis continued the plenary debate on the report submitted by the 15 member ad-hoc committee elected to review the estimated state budget for the year 2009 at its 30th sitting of the third session held this morning.
This is the third day of the debate on this report in which a total of eighteen members and the chair person of the committee Faadhipolhu Member Mr. Ibrahim Mohamed Solih took the floor to participate in the debate. At today’s sitting, 10 amendments to the report was moved and seconded during the discussion.
At the beginning of today’s sitting, the Housing, transport and environment Mr. Mohamed Aslam was asked parliamentary questions by South Miladhunmadulu Member Mr. Ali Mohamed. The Minister provided answers to the questions and 7 other supplementary questions.
Today’s sitting, attended by 35 Members was chaired by the Speaker of the People’s Majlis, Mr. Mohamed Shihab.
The People’s Majlis will meet again on Wednesday, 24th December 2008.
