People’s Majlis continued the plenary debate on the report submitted by the 15 member ad-hoc committee elected to review the estimated state budget for the year 2009 at its 29th sitting of the third session held this morning.
This is the second day of debate on this report in which a total of nineteen members took the floor to participate in the debate. At today’s sitting, tweleve amendments to the report was moved and seconded during the discussion.
At the beginning of today’s sitting, the Minister of Islamic Affairs Dr. AbdulMajeedh Abdulbaary was asked parliamentary questions by North Ari Atoll Member Mr. Ahmed Zubair. The Minister provided answers to the questions and 9 other supplementary questions.
Today’s sitting, attended by 31 Members was chaired by the Speaker of the People’s Majlis, Mr. Mohamed Shihab.
The People’s Majlis will meet again on Tuesday, 23rd December 2008.
